Structural insulated panels (SIPs)
Structural insulated panels (SIPs) are a high performance building system for residential and commercial construction. The panels consist of an insulating foam core sandwiched between two structural facings, typically oriented strand board (OSB). SIPs are manufactured under factory controlled conditions.
Advantages of the Kingspan TEK SIP building system
Excellent over all thermal performance with low U values, reduced thermal bridging and excellent air tightness, these combined will reduce the need for additional measures such as PV’s, ground/air source heat pumps.
TEK system has a suite of Psi Values for the non-repeat junctions with the majority being better than Accredited Construction details.
Less reliant on follow on trades to achieve the above as within the fabric of the structure.
